Reno company partners with national retailer
From the sweet taste to a crunchy bite, Tahoe Trail Bar has perfected the snack designed to keep you fueled.
What started in a South Lake Tahoe coffee shop in 1995, has grown into a multi-product company with bars in six stores. Tahoe Trail Bar is a favorite among athletes, and now national outdoor-retailer REI is taking a bite of the vegan, gluten free energy bars. REI now carries the product in all its stores throughout California and Nevada.
“Tahoe Trail Bars are the perfect grab-and-go snack for outdoor enthusiasts and we are thrilled to partner with an outdoor-recreation giant like REI,” says Wes King, owner. “I’ve been an REI co-op member since 1995 and have relied on their products for big hikes and camping trips many times for many years. REI is the perfect place for Tahoe Trail Bar.”
REI is one of several stores encouraging people to opt outside this Black Friday. Instead of spending money on material things, the company urges you to spend time outdoors. Tahoe Trail Bar is getting on board with the movement by placing energy bars at Hunter Creek, Thomas Creek and Mt. Rose Summit on Friday, November 24.
While peanut butter chocolate is owner Wes King’s favorite, and the original flavor, he knew there was potential to expand the product. In 2017, Tahoe Trail Bar announced two new flavors, Dark Chocolate Cherry and Mango Coconut, and introduced new packaging. Here at Argentum Partners, we love Tahoe Trail Bars and think they are the perfect snack to get you through your day!
