Jon Leleu
Attorney

With more than 20 years of experience melding business, law and politics, Jon is an accomplished legislative and municipal lobbyist and maintains a multi-jurisdictional practice on issues including taxation, economic and urban development, commercial real estate, healthcare, and education. Jon also appears before regulatory bodies and works with state and local economic development officials to analyze, recognize, and capture opportunities for economic development incentives. Jon’s business acumen, broad legal experience and political savvy are a combination routinely drawn upon by business associations, governments, and clients. In addition to his government relations work, he has served as an Executive Member of the City of Las Vegas’ Economic Development Steering Committee, the Las Vegas Medical District Advisory Board, and the Downtown Las Vegas Alliance.
Jon served as an intern for U.S. Senator Carol Moseley Braun and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, followed by a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. Jon is a licensed attorney in Illinois and Nevada, and a registered lobbyist in several other states. He has been a partner with national and global law firms and was general counsel for a tradeshow and exposition company with more than 12 million square feet of showroom space and more than $1 billion in assets. Throughout his career, Jon has been appointed to numerous committees tasked with reforming tax codes and various business ordinances, including reforming Clark County’s planning application and permitting process for commercial development, reforming Nevada’s live entertainment tax and composing wholesale revisions to municipal code provisions allowing off-premise signage on specified commercial properties.
