Chase excels as both an attorney and lobbyist. As a partner with Argentum Law, his focus revolves around civil litigation, transactional law, and government affairs. As a lobbyist, Chase represents various clients in industries like oil & gas, energy, gaming, construction, tax, healthcare, cannabis, the auto industry, as well as conservation efforts and water issues facing our state. At the Nevada legislature Chase represents: the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Nevada Builders Alliance, Nevada Bighorns Unlimited, and Nevada Franchised Auto Dealers Association, to name a few. Chase has argued cases in Federal, State, and Municipal Court and has been admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2018, Chase was awarded by Legal Elite and voted by his peers for the “Best Up & Coming” award as published in Nevada Business Magazine and was also nominated for the 20 Under 40 award by the Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network.
Prior to joining the Argentum team, Chase graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor’s in economics. He later graduated from the University of Denver with a master’s in Real Estate Finance and then worked in the commercial real estate field for NAI Alliance specializing in office properties. Shortly after, Chase received his juris doctorate from Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Chase is a born and raised Nevada native. His grandfather, Dr. Robert Whittemore, was one of the first doctors to be licensed to practice psychology in Nevada, was a dean at Nevada (UNR), and went on to serve as a Trustee of the Washoe County School District. Chase’s mother is the founder and president of the Whittemore-Peterson Institute, which is a medical research institute dedicated to accelerating treatments for disabling diseases that target the brain and immune system at UNR-Medical School. Chase’s father was a longtime lobbyist for Nevada who represented clients like the Nevada Resort Association and was one of Nevada’s most influential power brokers. In his free time, Chase enjoys attending athletic and charity functions, golfing, and skiing the various resorts around Lake Tahoe. Chase is also a family man and treasures the time he spends hiking Shakespeare Ranch at Lake Tahoe and fly-fishing and travelling with his wife and two sons to their ranch in Darby, Montana.
